Secret Life fans, it’s time to break out the balloons and teddy bears.
On Wednesday, Ken Baumann revealed his battle with Crohn’s disease to Good Morning America, describing the condition as “basically when your digestive system eats itself.”
And, unlike his faint-and-freak-out TV counterpart, Ben Boykewich, Ken sees the silver lining in his sickness — even after losing 20 pounds post-surgery — and wants to use it to help his fans.
“I was thinking about the 14-year-old fan of the show [who is] going through the pain and not knowing what it is,” he told ABC News' Nick Watt.
And for those struggling fans, Kenny has some unconventional words of wisdom.
“If you have a sense of humor, even when you’re in pain, it helps. When I did my first fart after surgery, it was like hearing Beethoven’s Ninth,” he said with a laught.
